Manchester United were leading the race for “the next Sergio Aguero” but now the Red Devils have been told they must wait until at least June for Paulo Dybala’s signature. According to reports in The Guardian, Palermo will not consider selling the striker in January.

Paulo Dybala is just 21-years-old and is highly coveted by a number of top clubs in world football. Dybala is a star of Serie A and has shone since joining in July 2012 from the club where he began his youth career, Instituto. The Palermo number 9 has netted 17 Serie A goals in 89 matches and is now ready to move on to further his career.

With 9 goals in 17 appearances this campaign, Palermo’s eccentric president Maurizio Zamparini has been quoted as saying: “Dybala is worth over €40m [£31m] but I won’t sell him until June. Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United. I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months. In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment.”

Manchester United’s boss Louis Van Gaal seems to be intent on letting Colombian forward Radamel Falcao leave Old Trafford, paving the way for future Argentinean star Paulo Dybala to move to the Premier League. Red Devils fans’, do you want to sign Dybala or would you prefer Radamel Falcao?
